Covid 19 Statement

Around the world people are deeply worried about the impact of Covid 19

Dear Friends and Supporters,

Around the world people are deeply worried about the impact of Covid 19 on their family, friends and communities. Self isolation is the key to overcoming this global health crisis. Beyond Conflict will be pausing all activities for now until this challenge is brought under control.

Covid 19 is causing anxiety for many who may require mental health support. This is particularly the case for those in refugee camps and former conflict zones, where resources and information is limited.

Lastly, we would  like to highlight a brief interview by our Founding Ambassador Terry Waite, who has spoken to Sky News on how to cope with isolation. Terry’s advice is based on his experience of living in solitary confinement for five years after being held hostage by kidnappers while working as a peace negotiator.
