Parents Circle Family Forum:Interim impact report on work in MidEast

August 2026

Beyond Conflict is proud to be partnered with Parents Circle Family Forum (PCFF), the Nobel Peace Prize-nominated NGO which aims to foster dialogue and reconciliation between Israeli and Palestinian families who have lost loved ones in the conflict. HERE we present PCFF’s interim impact report for the project supporting mental health alongside its wider work.

PCFF represents bereaved families supporting peace, reconciliation and tolerance, whilst addressing the mental health impact of the war.

BC supports this project because PCFF addresses the trauma in both communities via face to face and online meetings where stories are shared with a view to understanding the other side and taking the first steps towards healing.

Their work addresses women and notably mothers who have lost children, as well as to the wider family and community. This project centres on emotional resilience, helping ordinary civilians to cope with the devastating loss of loved ones and the crippling trauma that follows. It seeks to build a supportive network of people in both communities to help deal with the mental health fallout.

PCFF has just completed its Summer Camp which saw 20 Palestinian and 20 Israeli teenagers spend a week together, along with a supporting staff of 35 (logistical, translators, social workers, and so on). A video will be available  soon. You can watch a video of a similar camp from 2025 HERE.

Beyond Conflict Executive Director and Co-Founder, Edna Fernandes, said:

“We believe this work is essential: it demonstrates that despite the horror of this long-standing war and appalling atrocities committed on both sides, there are ordinary people who are choosing peace over conflict, dialogue and understanding over the language of hate and violence. War destroys peace of mind. This work aims to help people move beyond their trauma.”

PCFF interim report covers January to June 2026. Please read it HERE.
