Season 01 Episode 04

Season 01 Episode 04

Professor Martin Parsons is the Co-Founder of Beyond Conflict and the former Director of the Research Centre for Evacuee and War Child Studies at the University of Reading where he is Honorary Life Fellow. He is one of the world pioneers in the study of the impact of war on children. He is the author of I’ll Take That One Too, Waiting to Go Home and War Child: Children in Conflict.

In this episode, our conversation opens up a glimpse into Martin’s lifetime of work with children of conflict and how his expertise has informed the work of Beyond Conflict in supporting people affected by conflict around the world.

Martin will be retiring from his role as Trustee at the end of the summer but will remain as one of our Ambassadors for the Charity. All of us here at Beyond Conflict are grateful to him for all he has done in the early stages of the charity’s formation and we wish him well in his future endeavours.
